iPod Shower Dock | Good clean fun

I was getting ready to take my shower this morning, and took my earbuds out and set my Ipod aside. I wondered about people that claim to have issues separating from their ipod. One girl who I lived with for a while insisted on wearing her iPod Nano all the time. I am talking while eating, watching TV, having sex -- almost anything. You could tell when you had her attention, because one earbud would be hanging out. She used to complain about how she had to remove her ipod Nano to shower. When she started avoiding showers, it was time for her to go.

Anyways, I got to thinking, if there are people that have iPod separation issues, then some iPod accessory manufacturer has probably done something about it. When I finished my shower, I sat down to the laptop, opened google, and typed 'waterproof iPod'.

I found waterproof iPod cases, those suckers are expensive. I also found a company that converts the 2G iPod Shuffle to a waterproof unit that can be immersed in water. If you want to pay $250 for a shuffle, that may be an option,but way too expensive for me.

Then I ran across the iPod shower dock.

This device features iPod-like styling, and hangs in your shower by a rope (You may insert bad 'iPod-on-a rope jokes here ..). The device features a built-in AM-FM radio with stereo speakers. It also has an LCD clock. To dock your player, you raise a dome, slip your MP3 player in, and plug in the shower dock to the headphone port. This unit takes almost any mp3 player, as long as it fits in the dock. One negative about the unit, since it is made to accept most mp3 players, there is no navigation once the player is in the dock. I guess you can load a playlist that will last the length of your shower.

This dock will not set you back much. It runs about $20.00.
